Customer
The Western Australian based CBH Group stores, handles and markets grain. The WA harvest averages ten million tonnes annually, of which 95 per cent is exported, and represents up to 40 per cent of the nation’s average annual production. The CBH Group is a leading grains industry organisation, marketing grain to over 20 export destinations and with a total storage
capacity in excess of 19 million tonnes.

Business Challenge
CBH needed to update its existing grain management system to provide a graphical user interface and include new functionality to support current and future business needs.

The requirement was to rewrite and upgrade the core business system that encompassed many critical business processes across the entire supply chain.

Solution
The existing business system was modernised from green screen terminals to Windows and web graphical user interfaces. New business processes were included, existing processes were enhanced and the system was integrated with other line of business systems such as process control systems and financial systems.
