CSBP improves customer service and system performance with Lateral. CustomerCSBP Limited is one of Australia's leading suppliers of chemicals, fertilisers and other services to the mining, industrial and agricultural sectors. CSBP has been operating in Western Australia for more than 90 years. Business Challenge CSBP required an intuitive web based system that would allow the Customer Services group to make appointments for customers to pickup fertiliser orders from sites throughout the state. The system would need to share information with their ERP system and plant control systems. CSBP had an existing system however the performance did not meet their business needs. Solution Lateral were engaged to perform the business analysis and to redesign and code the web application. The system was developed to accommodate the flexible scheduling and product options CSBP provided its customers. The system also had to take into account product availability information provided through the plant control systems. This dynamic and sizeable data was processed quickly in order to ensure that the scheduling and pick up process operated as efficiently as possible. Results The web application was successfully delivered meeting the requirements for performance, usability and integration. CSBP was able to provide a superior level of customer service by managing their processes for order scheduling and collection in a timely manner with the new system. Today, Lateral continues to add value to the CSBP and their systems by providing managed services such as analysis, development, software support and off site disaster recovery. |
